Nani works in any modern browser—no special setup required.
The desktop app supports macOS 14 or later on Apple Silicon, and Windows. A Linux app is not available yet.
Nani’s interface is available in English, Japanese, and Chinese. Translation explanations are shown in the selected interface language.
You can translate from your language into the following 10 languages.
You can translate from over 100 languages into your language (English).
Proofreading mode and AI pronunciation support 34 languages.
Translation data are stored on your device and not on our servers. Our staff never have access to the text you input or the translated content.
We never repurpose or reuse your submitted data.
That makes Nani a reliable choice for business translation tasks, such as handling support inquiries and customer communication.
For translation and abuse detection, inputs are sent to Google, OpenAI, or xAI servers. These platforms may temporarily cache the data but automatically delete it shortly thereafter.
No. This applies to all plans, including the free plan. We only use services that explicitly state they will not use your data for model training. We also do not use your input or translation results to improve our service.

Because of browser storage limits, the web version keeps your history only temporarily; the desktop version stores it locally so it’s always available.
