Nani is a fun, playful new AI translation tool created by catnose, a developer based in Japan.

Tools like Google Translate or DeepL usually give you just one version of a sentence. But I often found myself wondering, “Does this actually sound natural? Would a native speaker phrase it differently?”

So I built a little tool for myself that lets the AI suggest different ways to phrase things and explain the nuances. It made translation feel easier and more enjoyable.

I decided to create Nani so more people could share in that experience.

My goal is to make Nani feel like chatting with a native speaker, while keeping it just as easy to use as any other translation tool.
